Welcome to my thoughts. If you have thoughts about my thoughts, or the ideas strike a chord, reach out to discuss—hopefully like-minded readers will connect!
My overarching focus is understanding how human societies, and humans themselves, have evolved, function, interact, and (can) flourish. Toward that end I think, read, and write mostly about political economy, international relations, evolutionary theory & logic, psychology, philosophy, macroeconomics, history, and finance.
One of my greatest passions is fishing for experiences that will change my mental models. In addition to experimenting with nootropics, undertaking various exercise regimens, and doing deep-dive research, I find travel adventures to be particularly rewarding in this regard. I have spent time in 30+ countries, often in interesting fashion... such as driving from London to Mongolia in a junker or driving a motor rickshaw across India.
I am a graduate of the University of Southern California (2016) and the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (2020). I received a BA in Political Economy and an MA in International Political Economy, respectively.
